OzGreens is a cooperative style group of people with one thing in common:
A passion for finding, roasting and drinking fine coffee at home.
OzGreens role in this is to find, purchase and distribute green coffee beans to our members throughout Australia at the cheapest possible price. We cannot send green coffee outside Australia due to quarantine restrictions.
OzGreens works very simply:
- Most of the time, coffee is sourced through a major importer and wholesaler in Sydney. However, any member is free to find wholesale quantities of fine green coffee and make it available to members.
- Beans are made available to the group by putting up a ‘bean offer’ on this site. Members are then free to buy the quantity they want. When all the beans available are purchased, the offer closes.
- Members who buy are then invoiced for the cost of the beans, plus packaging and freight charges (unless the beans are picked up)
Tasting notes are usually posted beforehand as a guide to the qualities of a particular bean.
The site is designed help you participate in the life of the group at whatever level you are comfortable with.
- Beans only. If you prefer to just know when new coffee beans are available, just register in the members section and choose to receive the notification of new bean offers.
- Beans plus some extra info. If you are interested in occasional posts about coffee and home roasting, as well as bean offers. Register as a member, and either visit here regularly and/or subscribe to the RSS Feed for this part of the site. What’s an RSS feed? Check the FAQ
- Beans plus community chat. If you are interested in some good discussion and sharing of information related to coffee and home roasting, register as a member, subscribe to the site RSS feed, and register for the forum (which also has it’s own RSS feed).
Currently, the registrations for the members section and the forum are separate processes. We are working on combining these.

For green bean purchases between bean offers here, Neil makes a number of origins and blends available on his web site Ministry Grounds. Please note, these are at a slightly higher price per Kg than the offers here.
